What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access gives me the chance to gather feedback from the community as I finish up development as well as the opportunity to get the game into people's hands quicker. This feedback is crucial in making sure the game is as good as it can be as I wrap up the last 25% of development. In addition, as a roguelike I feel Tower of Dreams is a good fit for Early Access, allowing the current version to have a satisfying beginning and end while enabling a variety of additions like new levels and upgrades to slot into the existing experience easily.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“My estimate is around 6 months to a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I would like to add another floor to the tower as well as a final boss, and potentially a few more levels for the first three floors. I'd also like to add new buildings in the hub, more story content, as well as some quality of life improvements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current build contains all of the features listed in the "About This" section. These make up about 75% of the planned final release, with another planned floor for the tower and other additions coming soon.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price will increase by a bit when the full release comes out.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I have an active Discord server for playtesting and feedback, and will be paying close attention to the game's reception to prioritize what to work on and fix for the full release.”
