What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access to allow players to actively participate in the improvement of Z Ops: Deadzone. Given the scope of our project, we aim to gather as much feedback as possible from the community to adjust features, balance gameplay, and perfect the gaming experience. Early Access will also enable us to test mechanics like raids, combat against zombies, and the management of colonies in real conditions.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The Early Access period is indefinite, but we estimate it will last for at least 12 months. We have a lot of content and features to add, and we want to take the necessary time to ensure a polished and complete experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is expected to offer much more extensive content, subject to development progress. Here are some of the planned features we aim to include:

  • A larger world with additional raid maps.
  • A wider selection of customizable weapons and accessories.
  • New types of zombies.
  • More missions and expanded side quests.
  • More interactive factions.
  • An improved progression system with more detailed combat and raid skills.
  • Performance optimizations for a smooth experience across a wide range of setups.

We also plan to explore dynamic events, cooperative missions, and enhancements to colonies and resource management, depending on the development progress.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version includes the following:

  • A first-person mode with two playable weapons and accessories.
  • Standard zombies.
  • A small map for raids with a loot system.
  • Part of a campaign mission is playable.
  • A functional colony with a cafeteria, sleeping quarters, command post, and shop.
  • Basic game menus and options.

The game is fully playable, but additional content, balancing, and optimizations are still needed. We plan to release regular updates throughout Early Access, introducing new features and improvements based on player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price will gradually increase during Early Access as major updates introduce new content and features. This reflects the game's evolving state and the addition of more substantial content over time. The final price will increase again at the full launch to reflect the complete and finished version of Z Ops: Deadzone.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Join our community on Discord to share your ideas and suggestions, and stay updated on the development of Z Ops: Deadzone. Your feedback is essential in helping us improve the game and shape the final experience.”

About This Game

Z Ops: Deadzone

The world has changed.

A parasite known as Bane-Z spread at an alarming speed. Once the brain is infected, the host turns into an aggressive creature that no longer responds to anything. Survivors simply call them Bane-Z.

Cities are abandoned. Infrastructure has collapsed.

But one organization is still fighting: the Z Ops.

You play as a Z Ops agent, a unit sent into contaminated zones to recover resources, investigate the origin of the catastrophe, and attempt to reclaim lost territories.

High-Risk Raids

Each raid sends you into an infected area where you must complete objectives, search buildings, fight Bane-Z, and find an extraction point.

But staying too long can cost you everything.

Gunshots attract the infected.
Mistakes are rarely forgiven.
And if you die, you lose everything you were carrying.

Combat and Survival

Combat in Z Ops: Deadzone focuses on precision and resource management.

Bane-Z are difficult to take down. In most situations, a precise headshot remains the most effective way to neutralize them.

During raids you must constantly monitor:

  • health

  • hunger

  • stamina

  • ammunition

  • resources

Every decision matters when you are alone inside a contaminated zone.

The Colony

Between raids, you return to the Colony, a safe area where you prepare your next expedition.

There you can:

  • manage your equipment

  • store resources

  • accept side quests

  • buy equipment

  • launch new raids

What you manage to bring back from contaminated zones directly determines your progression.

The Bane-Z

Not all Bane-Z move at the same speed.

Some are fast and aggressive, capable of closing the distance in seconds.
Others are slower, but just as dangerous if they surround you.

A poorly managed fight can quickly attract more infected than expected.

New specialized Bane-Z types are planned during development.

Current Equipment

The first available equipment includes:

  • ZAR-1 – versatile assault rifle

  • P9 – reliable pistol

  • Baseball bat – melee weapon for close encounters

More weapons and equipment will be added throughout development.

Current Map

The current playable zone is Volygrad, a contaminated area used as the first operational zone.

It allows players to discover the raid mechanics, the loot system, and the first encounters with Bane-Z.

Early Access

Z Ops: Deadzone is currently in Early Access and continues to evolve.

Planned development includes:

  • new areas to explore

  • new enemy types

  • more weapons and equipment

  • gameplay and survival system improvements

  • progressive development of missions and quests

  • a co-op mode

Player feedback will help guide future updates and the evolution of the game.
