Why Early Access?

“BROKEN LIFE is a wonderful project that I spent much more time on than I had planned. Still, I have strong desire to continue working on it, but now I need some extra feedback to see it through to the end. That's why I decided to publish 1 of the 3 planned chapters of the game in Early Access to see how it will be accepted by the players.

My goals are:
- gathering feedback from players which may help me to improve the game
- building game community of people who like my work
- improving game experience and finishing this journey”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Roughly by October of 2025.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to implement two new chapters which, possibly, will include:
- new characters
- new puzzles
- a logically complete story
- minor or maybe major improvements recommended by the players”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The first of the three chapters of this fascinating and tragic story is available for Early Access. This is about 1 hour of gameplay. The full game has a planned completion time of 2.5-3 hours.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Thus, the price of the full game will be increased, as the amount of content will be much higher.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I regularly watch game streams where my game is played. I listen to advices in the comments and on the Discord server. I will also be happy to read your letters, which you can send me by email.”

About This Game

BROKEN LIFE is an atmospheric, fully voiced Point-and-Click Adventure set in a world torn by war. At the heart of this story is Leo, a former soldier returning to his recently liberated hometown. Leo's journey is one of loneliness, exhaustion, and the lingering scars of war. He needs to restore his broken life, cope with his grief, and uncover the fate of his family during the occupation. But what seems clear and simple at first quickly reveals itself as an illusion. The house hides many dark and mysterious secrets…

As a solo indie developer from Ukraine, I’ve drawn from my own experiences of living through war to create this narrative. Join Leo on his journey through dark and atmospheric 2D environments, solving puzzles intricately woven into a story filled with tension and emotion.
