What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We are willing to have an early access launch to build a solid and trustful relationship with our community and players. We are an indie company that wants to create games for players, for positive and quality-like gameplay experiences. To do so, we believe that direct and transparent communication and feedback will help us polish the game and set a clear path to its final release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to be in Early Access for about 8 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full release of the game, we plan to add new characters, unique locations, narrative stories and quests. We also plan to introduce some interesting game mechanics that will enhance player experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“full version 1.0 which includes 2 playable characters with their deck, 3 locations and a few NPCs. The early access version has all core mechanics and features: deck-building, positioning, interactive environment on the battlefield, personal story for 1 character.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We are planning to have one price for early access and then we plan to increase the price when the game is fully released.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to carefully collect all the feedback we receive, as well as players' wishes, and implement the resulting changes through frequent updates.”

About This Game

A deck-building roguelike game from a small indie company with passion creating games for Players.

The game offers an exhilarating adventure where deck-building mechanics intertwine with role-playing elements. Characters traverse the lands of Everwane solo or gather an entire squad to stand against the forces of evil.

  • Positioning

  • Play one character or with a squad of 4

  • Interactive and strategic fights

  • “Exile” mechanics

  • Characters’ synergy

  • Tavern meta-progression

  • Exploration

  • Rich narrative

  • Freedom of playstyle

  • World corruption

  • Camp mechanics

Positioning plays a significant role in Everwayne's gameplay. Enemies can attack not only your character directly but also target specific grid cells. To avoid damage, you can use Banishment - a mechanic for moving characters.

The game can be completed with one, two, three, or four characters while fallen heroes can be resurrected during the run with the special items and resources. This ensures diversified gameplay variability and different endings. Though, you are not forced to play with a certain amount of characters. The choice is only yours.

You have a character, a single one or a whole squad, enemies, and cards ready in your hand - all quite familiar, except for one BUT! Sometimes, your battle can take an unpredictable turn - the environment of the location can be dangerous for both you and your enemies.

Exile cards can also be used against enemies - to move them closer to interactive hazards on the battlefield, to move them to the nearest trap or even to stack a negative debug on them while Exiling or damaging them with another card if certain stacks of Exile are played.

This mechanic not only deepens the fighting interactions on the battlefield but also creates more opportunities and synergies between playable characters and their builds.

Each character has a Synergy passive that supplement other character's playstyles. You can discover interesting synergies paired with different characters. This is also designed for solo runs or squad runes as well.

Tavern is a starting “hub” for a player to start their adventure. They can choose a character in Tavern, look through their deck and choose Challenges and accept NPCs quests.

Players will also upgrade the tavern. Each new level of it unlocks new mechanics and features. For example, a Bestiary or Trophey’s room of each character or even a side-mini game - collecting resources in the world and then crafting some meals for visitors gaining some points, achievements and decoration elements.

The world Everwayne holds many secrets - some of them you may find through interactive environment on the battlefield and see where it takes you.

The game will provide the rich narrative, each playable character's story campaign and many more quests and stories. Though, they are not mandatory to do - only a player chooses to do them or not.

Players can choose how they want to play the game, what to focus on. Some players prefer to explore the lore and narrative, others want to focus on fights and deck-building and some to explore the secrets of Everwayne - everyone will find plenty to do.

A player can also progress through certain events and achievements that will trigger the changes in the current world. The more runs a player will do, the more visual changes will happen to the world through the Corruption mechanic.

Finding a camp provides you with a few mechanics that will enrich your run - squad buffs, map scouting, restoring health and upgrading cards.

The world of Everwayne is withering under the grip of the Tyrant - the Eternal Guardian. He has gathered many minions to protect Everwayne from the evil seeking to engulf this world. For many decades, the Eternal Guardian has stood watch over the world, but many do not believe in his protection and blame him for all the ailments, decline, and ruin. The inhabitants of the world have accepted their fate and only trying to survive. Of course, there are daredevils and adventurers who, willingly or unwillingly, challenge the Guardian and never return.

Will you be one of those adventurers, challenging the Guardian, or will you try to survive in this harsh world, find your place under the sun, and explore its mysteries? The choice is yours alone!

And to survive in this world, you will have to gather the right cards, plan your adventure route, and defeat all the enemies who stand in your way.
