Why Early Access?

“The main game loop and mechanics of Idle Weaponshop has been finished, and players can play through hundreds of (idle) hours without reaching the current content walls. We'd love to have more players come in and give their thoughts and input as we add more content and polish content and mechanics that already exist in the game.

The game's community has already had a huge impact on the development of the game, and we would like to get more players trying out the definitive standalone windows version.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It will approximately take another 6 to 8 months to finish the planned content trees and polish up the game and ensure there are no known serious issues remaining.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“As the game nears completion, we plan to add more features such as challenge runs and social leaderboards, and additional content such as more upgrades, materials, blueprints, and units to use.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the Early access version includes hundreds of hours (of idle) content, and has the major features and gameplay loop finished. A player can design their items, build up their shop, and then reset for huge bonuses for future runs.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will remain free to play after the official release.

We tentatively plan on increasing the price of supporter packs after the game leaves Early Access”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Currently the game community has a large amount of input into the direction and balance of the game. We would be including and welcoming any input of any Steam users into that process and will take that input into account when finishing up the game.”
