Miksi Early Access?

We believe that Upside The Backrooms can become a truly unique project that will redefine horror experiences. To achieve this goal, we believe it is necessary to integrate player feedback into the heart of the game.
Early Access is an opportunity for everyone who buys it now to shape the future of the game, while benefiting from frequent and significant updates.
Our philosophy is that instead of spending years designing levels and refining them, it makes much more sense to release levels gradually, letting the community vote on what comes next.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

We plan to stay in early access for about a year. But as with everything, the game will be released when we've reached our goal of offering a true Backrooms experience.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

You will be the main driver of this game. We'll be actively listening and polling our Discord members to plan future updates.
That said, we have a few goals we'd like to highlight.

- Have 20-30 high-quality polished levels
- Create a network of non-linear levels where each level leads to 3-5 other levels, offering multiple endings.
- Extend multiplayer to an open-world concept

Above all, the main objective will be to offer a true Backrooms experience. We want players to lose themselves in the levels and be truly immersed.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The current state of the Early Access version is a fully playable, fun and (for the most part) bug-free game. Early Access represents countless hours of hard work, and we'd only deliver a game we'd be eager to play ourselves and with our friends. That said, there will be a few gaps, particularly in the levels. However, we plan to offer new polished levels several times a month.

For the moment, we have one level. You can play solo. The aim of Level 0 is to complete a series of objectives in order to escape.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

As part of our commitment to constantly improving the game, we plan to gradually increase the price as new content and features are added.

Community feedback will be paramount in our early access. We intend to listen carefully to players on social media. Mainly on our Steam page and our Discord server!
