What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We chose to go with Early Access for this game because we wanted to give you the chance to experience its evolving world before its full release. Moreover, one of our objectives is to gather feedback to refine and improve the game, incorporating the input from our early users. Alongside this goal, we're also eager to see the kind of creatures you'll conceive and create using your imagination, turning this game into a fascinating study of creativity and innovation.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“While avoiding detailed promises, during this period we plan to implement additional features that don't require disruptive updates.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to implement new features such as adding creature parts with unique physical properties, new items, and new environmental changes, with the goal of allowing players to observe a wider variety of creature movements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version offers basic game systems. It's in a state where you can enjoy the process of evolution.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price as new content and features are added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to facilitate community involvement in the development process by setting up a Discord server.”

About This Game

ANLIFE is an evolution simulator featuring block creatures that shuffle around awkwardly under a physics engine. There’s no complex ecosystem like in typical life sims. Take the role of a god—lend a hand to these creatures or call down meteors—and calmly watch their evolution unfold, as if peering into a miniature sandbox.

Block creatures powered by physics

All they do is chase after food, yet their simplicity is oddly charming. Like a baby learning to crawl, these block creatures fumble and flail as they learn to move. Cheer them on as they grow more adept through the physics engine.

Enjoy the freedom of being a god

As a god, you can help them out, summon meteors, or even play a little mischievous. Shape the world however you like, guided by your own whim.

A tranquil, healing time

No story, no complex ecosystem, no goals. Simply relax in a soothing atmosphere and watch these creatures do their best to live.

Evolution simulation

Creatures that learn to move effectively toward food will survive, reproduce, and pass on their traits. Through each generation, their bodies gradually evolve.
