About This Game

The kingdom is under pressure, and every day brings another choice to its gates. In Checkmate Magic, build your strength at the castle, judge the visitors who arrive, and take their consequences onto a tactical battlefield where reading the enemy matters as much as striking.

Seven days. Every decision leaves a mark.

Move through a seven-day campaign of castle duties, visitors, and battles. Hear each petitioner out, choose whether to allow or deny entry, and face the consequences that follow. Between encounters, return to the castle to prepare for what comes next.

Read the enemy. Own the turn.

Combat plays out on a tactical grid. Enemies reveal their committed intents before they act, giving you a chance to move out of danger, guard, or set up an attack. Choose your actions carefully and make positioning count.

Break their guard. Deliver Checkmate

Pressure enemies until their composure breaks, then look for the opening to finish the fight with Checkmate. Build toward that moment through deliberate attacks, abilities, and positioning instead of relying on damage alone.

Prepare at the castle.

Compare and equip the gear you earn, visit the Marketplace for supplies, and use the Royal Forge to craft and improve equipment. Shape your loadout around the threats ahead, then take your preparation into battle.

Face the Royal Trials.

Survive the campaign and unlock the Royal Trials: further tactical encounters that test your preparation, your command of enemy intents, and your ability to find a decisive opening against powerful foes.
