About This Game

‘Quintus and the Formidable Curse’ is a Horror-Adventure game with a difference; the protagonists are a Man and Mouse duo!

Following on from ‘Quintus and the Absent Truth’, which was released on PC and all last and current gen consoles in 2022, our unlikely team are ready to take on a new adventure, which promises to be larger and far more dangerous than this couplings first outing.

The plot picks up right after the events of the original game, throwing Alan and Quintus into an adventure that only a Man/Mouse duo could overcome.

'Quintus and the Formidable Curse' brings back the original mechanic of being able to solve puzzles as our small mouse friend, however this mechanic has been reimagined from the ground… down.

Many puzzles throughout the game require our player to jump to being tiny, whether it to be to squeeze through a gap in a machine to replace some loose screws, or being small enough to fit through some wall trunking to reach an electricity box to get the power back on.

In the original game these were introduced as separate levels or scenes within the game, in QATFC this mechanic is now fully scripted, allowing the player to change to being Quintus when they deem necessary.

Quintus isn’t the only mouse in town anymore, sewn into the plot, Alan and Quintus now have 2 additional mouse friends to help on their travels.

But these mice aren’t just their to keep you company, each new mouse is connected with a natural element which can be used for various puzzles throughout the game.

Our electric mouse can help with powering up equipment and our fire mouse can really light up a room.

Each mouse and their abilities are vital to Alan and Quintus’s journey.

With bigger dangers ahead in this adventure, make it necessary for Alan to fight his way through some areas. Clutching to any item he can get his hands on, enemies may be lurking around any corner, and Alan must be prepared.

Combat mainly consists of swinging a bat or pipe, but in later areas Alan can also ask for help from some of his mouse friends. The fire mouse can burn them and the electric mouse can electrify the enemies, making battles not only more entertaining to play, but easier to manage.

To get to each area of the game Alan must drive his trusty rental van, this gives an opportunity for the player to take control of a new element of this sequel.

Taking place on a large top down map, players can drive to each destination in this this fictional region of Washington State, named Cificap County.
