Why Early Access?

“Wasteland Elysium is still far from completion, but we want to put it out early to attract players' thought on it. Early Access is a great way for us to gather feedbacks to see where the games would be going. As gamers ourselves, we know listening to players is important.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Considering there will be quite a lot of redesign and overhaul to do, we want our development schedule to remain flexible, but our goal is to release the full game in 12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We feel like the Early Access version is currently ready for players to get a feel of what kind of experience we are trying to provide, but there is still much more content and features to add in our vision, including:

Overhaul of the combat system.
Additional gameplay mechanics such as drone system, chip upgrade system, providing additional playstyle choices.
New maps, weapons, items and new synergies.
New playable characters, enemies, and bosses.
In-stage shopkeeper with randomized upgrades to purchase.
Additional story elements, including more adventures of the protagonists and the ultimate truth of the apocalypse.
Visual refinement, better gameplay feedbacks.
Tweaked and Refined game design based on player feedbacks.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Right now the Early Access version contains:

Gameplay content from start to early/mid-game.
Single player gameplay.
Three difficulty levels.
Lots of enemies and massive bosses.
Level up and upgrade systems.
Melee and ranged weapons.
The fundamental story of the wasteland adventure.
Keyboard / Controller support.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we expect the price to increase once the game went into full release, since the final game would have more content and generally more refined and stable experience.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are planning to prioritise content and develop new features, so players' input would be crucial for us to refine the game and its experience. We will listen to players' comments on the Steam forums and social media would be very important source of such feedbacks, we would also love to hear player feedback from Discord, we will setup dedicated feedback channels for bug reports and suggestions from the community.”
