What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Sanguivore is rapidly evolving thanks to our dedicated small team. Now, we're thrilled to introduce the game to the world! As we step into Early Access, we'll be refining mechanics and maps, eager to gather vital community input for our ongoing development journey. Our goal is to craft a standout experience, and your early-stage insights will help shape the final game into something truly special.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our ultimate goal for the full release is to unveil a minimum of three comprehensive maps, each showcasing distinct elements, and an array of diverse 'Sanguivores'—bloodthirsty monsters that keep you on your toes. With significant progress already made on the first map, we're confident this is an attainable objective that will come to fruition within the span of several months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The first released map going into Early Access titled “Alaska/Twenty Below”.

Following the completion of Alaska, we plan on new maps and content to be developed until a minimum of three complete maps (along with new monsters, mechanics and features) are ready.

After the full release, we intend to keep evolving the game with updates, introducing new content as detailed in our roadmap.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All of the core mechanics are developed and ready to go with some placeholder animations and assets in the place of assets currently being developed.

We are focused on making the first three sections complete for our launch map, titled “Alaska/Twenty Below”, for Early Access. The fourth section will include some interesting new mechanics, features and will be the first major update developed and released for Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Indeed, during the first week of Early Access launch, the game will be offered at a 25% promotional rate, before transitioning to our Early Access price. Upon the full release, complete with additional characters, maps, Sanguivore monsters, and more, will plan on the game carry a provisional additional price tag. Prices may vary by region in accordance with Steam practices.

This price adjustment reflects the substantial expansion of maps, content, monsters, and features compared to the early access version. Moreover, it accounts for our commitment to crafting and integrating upcoming game modes, including a PvP version set to arrive post-Early Access release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want to release two playtests before Early Access as well as a community hub on Steam and Discord where members can have a clear line of communication with developers of the game. We may hold votes on upcoming features, have sneak-peaks of work-in-progress content as well as other community events.”
