Why Early Access?

“We believe the best way to make Ringleaders the most entertaining game it can be is to collect and incorporate regular feedback as early and often as possible during development. Launching in Early Access on Steam helps us achieve this goal. We are committed to partnering with our community to create features and modify gameplay so that it truly resonates with players. We are currently early on in the game’s development and are focused on making the core game loop as fun as it can be from the start, and layering on additional content, new maps, weapons, cosmetics, and more as we go.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We haven't set a strict duration for our Early Access phase. However, users can anticipate a period of at least a year as we move towards a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our focus in Early Access is on perfecting the foundational game loop. The full game’s ambition is much larger—we plan to add additional content, including more tasks, scenarios, and character customization. Most importantly, we want to implement an expansive social meta game. More on this later.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Ringleaders is a fast-paced social deduction shooter where guile and cunning matter just as much as tactical skills. Early Access will feature our standard matchmaking mode and a variety of loadout customization options to fit your play style. Using proximity voice chat, you’ll have to work together with – and at times, against – your squad mates to complete the objectives of each mission. We’ll begin our Early Access phase with 5 distinct task types: rescue the hostage, protect the truck, pick up and deliver, kill the boss, and destroy crates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may increase the price of Ringleaders upon full release. We will determine this as we add features and build out more expansive gameplay. We’ve deliberately selected an affordable price point for Early Access to reflect the fact that the game is still in development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“One of the main reasons we’ve decided to launch in Early Access is so that we can involve the community in our development process. Ringleaders is a multiplayer, social game, so our goal is to build the community as we continue to build the game, while gathering player input throughout every step of the process. We welcome all feedback and suggestions in our our Discord, and encourage players to reach out on any of our other channels, including Reddit, Twitter, and here in Steam.”
