Why Early Access?

“Because the scope of the game has grown bigger and deeper than I thought it would be and the budget of this game is very small, so every sold copy helps. Finally all the mechanics have been implemented and from now on the updates are mostly about content, such as new areas, dungeons, side-quests, npcs, equipment and secrets.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Full release is planned for the end of 2025 or early 2026. There has been some unexpected engine side updates and some graphical enhancements that has been delaying the content updates.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I'm planning to add more overworld areas, dungeons, rest of the story content, side-quests and secrets.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Early Access version contains story related and side quests, multiple overworld areas, over 10 dungeons, all the 11 character classes (some of them have sub-classes), crafting (weapon, armor, potion), lots of equipment to improve characters and other items to help on your journey, lots of secrets to find and NPCs to interact with.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, price will be gradually raised when new content and features are shipped.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I will communicate directly with the Community through the forum, read through all the feedback and respond to it, give news about updates and answer questions about the game.”

Chronicles of Vaeltaja: In Search of the Great Wanderer takes you back to the golden era of pc gaming, when role-playing games such as Might and Magic, Wizardry and Ultima ruled the world. Experience the classic feel of adventuring and role-playing on a grid-based journey through the colourful kingdom of Twin Falls where sunny fields, lush forests, misty swamps and dark dungeons await to be explored!

Gather a party of six adventurers from 11 character classes and choose their equipment from dozens of weapons, armor and trinkets. Improve your characters through classic 'stat and skill' system and teach them class specific skills to take down dangerous enemies in tactical turn-based battles. Follow the main questline to unravel the secret of the Great Wanderer and take on side-quests to earn experience, coins and better equipment.
