Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Since I’m developing Subway Nomads solo, it’s difficult to provide an exact timeline for when the game will leave Early Access. My current plan is to keep it in Early Access for at least [1 year], but this could change depending on the feedback I receive and the scope of updates and improvements needed.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Subway Nomads will be significantly expanded compared to the Early Access release. While the core mechanics are already in place, I’m working to add new content, features, and improvements that will enrich and deepen the gameplay experience.

One major difference will be that I plan to replace many of the current third-party assets, which I’ve used to speed up development, with original, custom-made assets. This will provide a more unique and polished experience, with visuals and interactions that better match the overall vision of the game.

In addition, I’ll be focusing on adding new features, improving gameplay options, and enhancing performance. The final product will likely feature larger and more diverse environments, providing more depth and challenge, and potentially more developed storylines or interactions.

As a solo developer, it’s important to stay realistic about what’s achievable, so I can’t make specific promises about which features will definitely be added. However, the goal is to gradually build Subway Nomads into a complete, original, and immersive experience, shaped by player feedback along the way.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Subway Nomads is currently in a playable state, with the core mechanics and systems in place. However, content is still limited at this stage. While you can explore the game world and experience its basic gameplay loops, there’s not a lot of content yet in terms of environments, features, or story elements.

I’m actively working on expanding the game, adding new content and polishing the existing features. Early Access will allow me to do this with feedback from players, ensuring that future updates make the game more engaging and fully realized.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price of Subway Nomads will likely increase as the game gets closer to full release. During the Early Access period, I’m keeping the price lower to encourage players to jump in early and contribute to the game’s development. As more content and features are added and the game becomes more polished, the price will rise to reflect the growth and improvements made.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to engage the community actively throughout the development of Subway Nomads primarily through Discord and YouTube.

On Discord, I’ll create a dedicated server where players can share feedback, report bugs, and discuss their experiences. This platform will facilitate direct communication, allowing me to gather insights and suggestions from players in real time.

Through YouTube, I will share development updates, gameplay videos, and behind-the-scenes content. This will not only keep the community informed about progress but also provide a space for discussions and feedback on new features or changes. I encourage players to leave comments and share their thoughts on the content I post.
