Varför Early Access?

“My goal with Knights Within is to create an amazing PvE experience that can be played as either casual chaos, or an intense skill-testing challenge. I think Early Access is the appropriate choice for this game in its current state because:
  • I am a solo dev working on this game for over 3 years and don’t want to release this without ensuring it is as close to flawless as possible. Please bear with me as I continue to improve the game.
  • The combat and gear systems within the game are complicated and may require time to get balanced and difficulty tuned properly.
  • Progress may be reset when patching throughout the early stages of the early access period, if this happens, I will be sure to at least provide some sort of boost so that not everything is gone.
I am dedicated to making Knights Within the most fun experience that it can be. The game’s design allows for a potentially never ending stream of content to be added to it, and I would love to do just that.”

“Hard to say as it depends on my part-time pace of work.
I have a list of things that will consider the game 'ready for 1.0' for me and I'm working towards it.

“The game is fully playable including:
  • 1-4 players
  • 3 game modes
  • Procedural maps with 3 different biomes
  • Over 100 Gear customization options
  • Over 100 in-mission modifiers split between players and enemies
  • Leveling, unlocks, prestige and achievement progression systems
Controllers are supported for gameplay but M&K is still required for some menus, controller support for these is being worked on”

“Feedback is super important to me, I'm making this game to create something that is a fun time whether you want to just enjoy the chaos, or really grow your skills and push the difficulty limits.
I will be primarily on the Discord server but also monitoring the Steam community forums for this game.
All feedback is welcome and will be used to improve the game!”

Knights Within is being developed by Indecision Labs, a solo developer working on their first public project.

Humanity is fighting for survival against the wraiths that now reign dominant in the world. Thankfully, technology is on our side. Fight your way through hordes of enemies while completing objectives to further mankind's struggle to survive.

Embark on procedurally generated missions to push back the threat of the Wraiths. Progressing through a mission grants randomized modifiers for both you and your enemies. The longer you survive, the crazier the powers get, keeping each run fresh and unique.

Create your own class by equipping gear mods for your various weapons and armor to enhance your preferred playstyle. As one of the prestigious knights protecting humanity, you have access to the most technologically advanced equipment available.

Run missions by yourself, or bring up to 3 friends to fight alongside you against the never ending hordes of enemies in your way.

Play the default mission based mode, completing objectives while struggling to survive. Or try the Gauntlet mode, where your stage progress is saved and the difficulty scales endlessly.

  • 3 game-modes: Multi-Act primary mode, a smaller standard mission mode and an endless difficulty climber
