Serving a vast population in this area the line was created to reduce travel time between Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan province, and Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province. The line is known for its exceptional speed, with modern units travelling up to 350 km/h, and picturesque scenery as passengers travel between stations.

Newly built by SimTech Vision for this route, the CR400BF is one of the fastest trains in the world. Nicknamed the ‘Golden Phoenix’ for its striking white/gold livery, this has been rebuilt in detail for this route with realistic cab controls and operation.
