Why Early Access?

“We think the best way to build games is alongside players, which is why we’re planning on going into Early Access! We’ve been playtesting with a small community for about a year, and their feedback has been invaluable to improving the game.

There’s a lot of content and features we plan to add that we’d love your feedback on. Join us on our journey and have an impact on where this game is headed!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect to be in early access for at least 6–12 months. The exact timing depends on when our team and community feel there’s enough depth, replayability, and polish to move onto the next phase.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The core gameplay of Seekers of Skyveil will remain largely the same. We plan to introduce new content and features into the game, including things like more items, Seekers, and gameplay content for more match-to-match variety, as well as extended metagame systems to recognize your time spent in game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game has a solid core gameplay loop that rewards you for making strategic decisions within each match. You can choose between seven playable Seekers, collect 100s of items, battle dozens of enemies, and take on two major bosses. Our main map is still in development, with three of the four major regions ready for playtesting and more map features to come.

You can visit a handful of vendors to purchase and upgrade equipment between runs, and there are some basic metaprogression systems in place.


You might run into some minor bugs, but nothing that should get in the way of the core gameplay. We don’t want bugs ruining your fun!

Finally, our UI is still a work-in-progress and we haven’t gotten to building an in-game tutorial yet. We recommend checking our Steam community page and joining our community Discord for help getting started.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to start out Early Access as a free-to-play product. Once we have added a significant amount of new content and features, we will likely adjust our business model to support our game service. This may include adding a base price for the game product and other monetized features, content, or services. We will always provide warning to players well in advance of changes to our business model for Seekers of Skyveil.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“From regular community playtests on our test server to consistent and transparent communications, we’re committed to developing alongside you all.

We’ll be collecting your feedback in surveys focused on the latest features and changes. We also regularly check our Discord forums to read your notes. We use all of your feedback to prioritize short-term changes to improve the game quickly, and also when planning for long-term features too.

You can expect us to share roadmaps, detailed patch notes highlighting your impact, developer livestreams, and more.
