Why Early Access?

“Glyphica has proven that it has a great game design loop and a fresh take on the roguelite/typing genre. We have many ideas about where we want to take the game, but we want a community of dedicated players to bounce those ideas off and see which they respond to best.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan on being in Early Access for a minimum of 6 months up to at most 1 year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We’re adding a large amount of new systems to the game that will require a lot of testing and iteration as we build content for them. These include a weapon Evolution system that changes the core functionality of each weapon based on usage, a mission system that allows the game to be played in more manageable sprints, and an improved Augmentation system that will make the meta game more engaging. These will be available in the EA version with a basic amount of content that allows it to be playable but will not be complete.

We’re planning to create additional content for the new systems based on the feedback we receive during EA, in addition to making improvements to how each system functions within the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We currently have a working demo of all basic features. In addition to that, we’ve built the Evolution system and fleshed it out with a minimal cache of content for early testing.

We’re working to finish building the mission system and the improvements to Augmentations in time for our Early Access launch.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to raise the price as we release new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are already actively involving our community in the development process by taking suggestions and feedback in our discord server. We expect Early Access will amplify this to the benefit of the game and our players.”
