Why Early Access?

“Sea of Survivors in its current state has a solid foundation, which is already a game that is fun for hours, with all the different builds that are possible by combining: weapons, treasures, and crew mates. All these systems interact in a variety of ways, and create a broad set of possibilities, and so to make Sea of Survivors the best game we can, we want to seek continuous feedback from players to continue improving the game, which is only possible in Early Access.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our intention is to remain in Early Access for a maximum of six months, though this duration could potentially change based on the game's reception and any innovative ideas that may emerge during the development process.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The current version of Sea of Survivors forms a solid core, with unique combat, a unique look, a unique build system, and a unique crew system. We plan to take this core and add more content: weapons, treasures, map biomes, and crew skills, adding more replay-ability.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of Sea of Survivors has all the features listed on the store page outside of the coming soon section:

• Can't stop moving combat
  
• A hexagonal rogue-like build system
  
• 20 minute runs, filled with hordes of enemies
  
• A shop to upgrade your ship between runs
  
• The ability to find, train, and hire crew mates with unique skills

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We run an active discord server where we take feedback and seek input directly from our players, the discord is open to the public, and is linked at the top of our Steam page. We also read all the posts on our Steam forums.”
