Dylan hasn't left his home since the pandemic. As he struggles to move forward, his dreams pull him back to one day from his youth: the day of his final exam. Explore his memories in a hand-painted watercolor point-and-click adventure, solve puzzles, and uncover why he can’t let that day go.

We’re at gamescom! 🎮💜 The New Demo Is Out!

Hi everyone!

We’re at gamescom 2026! 🥳

You can find The Last Exam at the Indie Arena Booth Halle 10.2, and it has been amazing to see people playing the game in person.

And there’s more: a brand-new version of the demo is now available on Steam!

A lot has changed since the previous demo. I’ve been working on new content, polishing existing scenes, improving puzzles and adding lots of little details throughout the game. If you played the demo before, this is a great time to come back and see what’s new. And if you haven’t played yet, welcome! 💜

Download the new demo and let me know what you think!

And if you’re at gamescom, come find us at the Indie Arena Booth on Hall 10.2 and say hi! 👋🎨

Thank you so much for all the support, and have fun with the new demo!

About This Game

Dylan is reliving the day of his final exam, a day that refuses to stay ordinary. In The Last Exam, you explore hand-painted watercolor scenes, talk to unusual characters, solve quiet observation-based puzzles, and move between reality and dreamlike versions of familiar places to uncover the memory Dylan has been avoiding.

Every location is created with traditional watercolor techniques, preserving the texture, warmth, and imperfections of physical materials.

Look closely, experiment with objects, and connect details in the environment. The puzzles are designed to feel woven into the story rather than separate from it.

Talk to people who seem real, remembered, exaggerated, or something in between.

Ordinary places shift into symbolic dream spaces shaped by memory, regret, and imagination. As fragmented memories resurface, you slowly piece together what really happened that day and why it still lingers.
