What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“As a sole Indie-Dev, user feedback is crucial to me, and will drastically shape the scope and scale of the development of Aether Fly. Having the game in early access will give me the support, time, and feedback necessary to make the game as great as it can be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“As the game is being actively developed and user feedback is being applied, it's difficult to measure when exactly the game will be completely "finished". However, I would like to have it out of early access within 2024 if possible.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to add much more content, including a variety of additional levels, additional modes that will switch up the gameplay mechanics, and additional lore related elements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, it's a game that dynamically creates bullets from the music and environment. See how far you can go without taking a hit.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Most likely, as the scope and scale of the game increases, the price will increase to match the value of all the new content (within reason). I hope the community will consider the reduced early access price as my way of saying "Thank you for the early support!" :)”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“User feedback is crucial for the development of Aether Fly. There will be a dedicated forum for gameplay critiques, feature requests, and "bug catchers" that can be accessed through the Aether Fly community discussions page here.”

About This Game

Go on a journey through countless dimensions shaped by bullets and sound.

Take Control of an Aether Fly
Control an "Aether Fly", an inter-dimensional space insect, as you make your way through the aether stream.
Dodge and survive the hazards of your current environment as you generate a portal that will allow you to slip into the next world.

The Sound of the World
An Aether Fly can sense the sound of the world, giving it (and you) an indication of the dangers that linger in the environment,
meaning everything around you will be in sync to the music of the world.

The Shape of the World
Each world you visit has it's own set of wonders (and dangers).
Dodge bullets that come from the environment, as well as other inter-dimensional creatures that inhabit the world.

The Flow of the World
Ever changing and ever moving forward, each world will present a different experience.

Metamorphosis
As time passes, much like the aether fly, you may find this game take on many different forms. Transforming not only how you play Aether Fly, but also your understanding of what an "Aether Fly" is.

As "Indie" as Indie Gets
Aether Fly is crafted and published by a single person without
AI assistance or any funding from external sources outside the Aether Fly community,
ensuring that the authenticity and freedom of the games growth will be lead solely by the vision of it's creator
and the feedback of it's community.

This is just the beginning, stay tuned.
