About This Game

"Back then, with my pretty hair tie, standing on tiptoe at the porthole of the colonial ship, gazing at the stars, I could never have imagined that the thriving Colony Three before my eyes would one day turn into scorched earth. Just like now, as I write these words, I still find it hard to believe that I have become the only survivor of the entire colonial ship."

"Abyss of Light" is a narrative-driven sci-fi adventure game. In this story, you play as a stranded interstellar colonist who crash-landed on a mysterious planet and struggles to find a way home. In the peculiar ruins lies the planet’s forgotten history, and within the abandoned research station, something faintly stirs your consciousness. Deeper still, in the glowing depths of the abyss, hidden secrets await your arrival.

The story is set in the near future, when human civilization has already stretched across the solar system. Then, on an otherwise ordinary day, a dazzling light suddenly erupted from behind Saturn, followed by a strange, indecipherable signal that echoed across the stars, unchanging and undiminished for years.

In response, humanity launched an unprecedented mission: The Light-Chasing Project. Its goal was ambitious——construct a generational colony ship, establish settlements on habitable worlds along the way, and ultimately reach the source of the anomaly to build a deep-space research station.

At first, the journey progressed smoothly. But from Colony Three onward, something began to go terribly wrong...
