About This Game

B.C. Piezophile is a first-person action horror game set deep underwater. It features a foreign ocean brimming with ambivalent environments, hazardous anomalies and baroque ecosystems. Stranded in the deepest reaches of the hadal zone, the player must ascend over 6,150 AeC before they can dream of rescue.

At their disposal:

†1. an advanced suit of powered armor;
†2. one sixth millennium hyperweapon;
†3. and, for counsel, a manic symbiote.

B.C. Piezophile takes place on the hourglass planet—Divine Earth—during an intense territorial dispute after the Second Flood.

Following anomalies observed in the upper atmosphere, the Mercy Envoy Atta crashes and sinks to the bottom of an oceanic trench. Isolated in the extreme reaches of a drowned world, the player has one goal: return with honor.

Defense, Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Extraction.

Before reaching the surface the player must climb the water column's entirety. Every layer demonstrates a menagerie of distinct biomes with simulated ecologies and unique natural histories. These temporal records can be intuited and cataloged by the suit's organic supercomputer: It freely offers the fruits of its paranoid delusions and superstitious inquiries.

Demigod-like power furnished by the L.E.E.P.A.S. suit barely permits survival; that strength is but the minimum to cope with Mare Nullius' crushing depths, breathing geologies, and alien abundance.

  • Levels with Complexity. Ascending to the surface will not be easy. The game's campaign contains twelve large open-ended levels. Their layouts, shrewd and deceptive—laden with misdirection and inter-penetrating passages. Branching paths propose numerous alternate routes, exits, and shortcuts.

  • Simulated Ecologies. Animules do not demonstrate monolithic behavior patterns. No strict enemies exist within Mare Nullius: Not everything always attacks the player, nor must they fight to the death. Life prioritizes survival and exhibits admixtures of neutrality, curiosity, and defensiveness.

  • Insane Esoterica. Hundreds of unique lifeforms and points of interest exist within B.C. Piezophile, which are parsed through the in-game encyclopedia. Categories range from naturally eerie Old World relicts such as primordial beasts, Lazarus taxa and bottled anthropologies, to the unhinged super-naturally weird prodigies of the New World like biologically immortal aliens, inorganic demons and geoapparati.

Summary

  • Full 6DoF navigation using anti-gravity propulsors.
  • Hundreds of unique POIs and lifeforms with varying dispositions.
  • Large open-ended levels each with multiple exits and shortcuts.
  • Abundance of biomes with specific ecological profiles and hazards.
