Why Early Access?

“Deathtide Survivors offers a very distinct twist to the emerging 'Hordelike' genre, with well designed game mechanics, advanced enemy AI and fully-fledged boss battles. Early Access is a way for us to receive constant valuable feedback and engage with our community, keeping our players front and center at every step of the development cycle. We want to make the best game we can, and working directly with our community is the only way to do that.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate about a year until the full 1.0 release is ready for launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The initial release contains Act 1. Acts 2, 3 and 4 will be released over the course of Early Access, and Act 5 in the full 1.0 release. Each Act brings the next chapter of the story, a new map, tons of new spells, talents, attunements, enemies, and boss battles. We also plan on releasing additional characters with completely unique gameplay (such as a melee-only character), based on community feedback and ideas we receive over the course of development.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The initial Early Access release is a fully playable experience with polished gameplay, high variety of advanced AI for enemies, countless spell/talent/attunement combinations to create unique and fun character builds and full-blown, epic boss battles.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we will gradually increase the price on each major release based on the amount of new content and features added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The highest quality of feedback we can receive comes from an engaged and healthy community. We will keep a close relationship with our players, engaging on multiple social media platforms, watching their content, and working as hard as possible to fulfill our shared vision for the best game Deathtide Survivors, and the entire 'Hordelike' genre can be.
