About This Game

A Wasteland Robot: Atavism is a card-based survival game with Roguelike elements. You can experience the following core gameplay:

  • Exploration: Venture across the vast, procedurally generated post-apocalyptic wasteland to collect essential resources for survival, while encountering various mutated creatures and bionic androids.

  • Resources: Manage all resource actions—combining, interacting, and recycling—through simple drag-and-drop stacking. For example, dragging "Motor Oil" onto "Computer Scrap" will create a "Chip Salad". The bolder your experiments, the more unexpected the rewards.

  • Research: Collect blueprints to unlock new technologies and craft items that align with your survival philosophy.

  • Combat: When night falls, you must defend yourself against hordes of creatures lurking in the darkness and intenting on killing you. They will return every night. Be prepared!

Story Background

> Year 198 of the New Era. 198 years have passed since the 'Great Destruction'.

> You wake up from a dusty corner. The metal joint makes a rough friction sound, and the optical sensor lights up with a weak red light ...

> Through the collapsed roof, you see the leaden sky continuously dropping radiation dust, and the distant chirping of mutated crows can be heard.

> A command flickers in your processing unit —— Go and find The Last Place.

> You need to set off immediately for The Last Place, where hope still remains.

> Until then, do whatever it takes to survive. But to survive here, you'll need to become an expert in some... less than savory fields.

Explore the Wasteland

  • Randomized Maps: Each playthrough features a unique, procedurally generated map. The "Post Great Destruction" wasteland is no longer vibrant, littered with explorable ruins and resources. Of course, you will encounter mutated creatures and bionic androids watching from the shadows.

  • Stealth Mechanics: Increase your stealth value, and with a bit of luck, you might successfully infiltrate target locations for substantial rewards. But if you fail, be ready to face the consequences!

Manage Resources

  • Operations: Perform all resource actions—combining, interacting, and recycling—through simple card-based interactions: drag-and-drop stacking.

  • Combination: The key to survival is experimentation. Feel free to try different combinations with any resources you find. Combining "Rolled Paper" with "Computer Scrap" might yield the highly sought-after "Cigar", while throwing "Wood" into a "Fire" can create the useful material "Charcoal".

Technology Research

  • Blueprints: You start with nothing, but as you explore deeper and collect more blueprints, you will unlock more new technologies.

  • Technology: Hundreds of tech blueprints across categories like Resources, Tools, Weapons, Armor, and Refit. Find the survival path that suits you best.

Withstand the Siege

  • Peace Phase: Hostile creatures will follow you but hold their attacks. Use this time to gather more resources or eliminate some enemies? The choice is yours.

  • Assault Phase: When night falls, you will face a concentrated wave of attacks, during which you cannot counterattack. Survive the night to enter a new Peace Phase.

Ultimate Goals

  • Survival: Survival, survival, survival is always your primary objective. Meticulously manage your time and resources, balancing between caution and aggression.

  • Mission:  Follow the mysterious woman's "Words of Apocalypse", reach The Last Place before the radioactive clouds consume the world, and bring life back to this land.
