Why Early Access?

“This game started as a jam project and I instantly fell in love with the concept. I enjoy working on this game so much and hope others enjoy my goofy and crazy ideas. As it’s just not quite where I want it to be yet, Early Access seems like a good choice while I market and promote it. More importantly, as I continue to add content and features, community feedback is critical to ensure that the game ends up being as balanced, stable, and fun as possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At least another 1-3 years after the initial Early Access release. Basically, as long as it takes for the game to have enough content and polish for me to consider it finished, but the nature of gameplay and genre allow an infinite amount of content to be added.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“While the game has its own style and core loop already complete, I have a lot of planned content to increase variety and replay value: lore and animated cutscenes, more levels, enemies and boss fights, weapons, mods and perks, etc. as well as a “Free Mode” where players play and experiment with things without being timed.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All of the core mechanics are currently in place, there are 3 levels, and 18 items in the form of firearms, melee weapons, and things to eat. There are also a number of Achievements to be earned. This is enough content to unlock and experiment with for a few hours of gameplay.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game is currently being offered at a lower price than what it will be sold at after release. When fully released the price will increase to another flat rate for the entire game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As a solo developer I plan to engage with the community as transparently as possible and involve them in the content creation process. I would love to have polls here on Steam or on my own website where the community can vote on new level and weapon ideas to be implemented. The community’s feedback will be integral to bringing this project to new heights and out of Early Access.”
