What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“MEMORIAPOLIS is a city-builder and his ambition is to offer an experience inspired by both city-building games and 4X. We're proposing game mechanics that we think are innovative, and which deserve to be tested in depth to validate the way we've integrated them into the game.
We're a small indie team, early access is the best way for us to involve the community in the creative process before releasing the final version of the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're currently planning an early access phase between four and six months.
This timeframe will of course be dependent on feedback from the community, and we're leaving ourselves the possibility that it could be longer if player feedback calls for more modifications.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to final version will include four ages: Antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, and the Age of Enlightenment. The Renaissance and the Age of Enlightenment will introduce new buildings, political systems, and Wonders.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version allows players to experience the first two ages: Antiquity and the Middle Ages. We consider this a beta version in which we have introduced all the main mechanics that players will interact with throughout the game.
Additionally, players who purchase Memoriapolis during early access will receive a unique building that will no longer be available afterward: the Founders' Statue.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As a thank-you to players who choose to believe in this project, the pricing of the final version of the game will be relatively different from that of the early access version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We strongly encourage players to let us know about their experience of the game by any means possible: Steam forum, Discord, in-game tools.
Our team is committed to providing regular updates on our progress, design choices and development schedule via the various communication channels.

Thank you for your support, builders!”

About This Game

Please note: the early access version of the game only contains the first two ages: Antiquity and the Middle Ages. The next two ages, the Renaissance and the Age of Enlightenment, will be made available as the game develops.

  • From Antiquity to the Age of Enlightenment: lay the foundations of your city, experience critical moments in history and transform your city into the Capital of Capital!

  • Each Age introduces its own game mechanics, presenting a distinct set of opportunities and challenges for the player's dynasty to navigate.

  • Traces from one age can be integrated into the next one.

  • No need to worry about laying roads!

  • Thanks to our unique algorithm, overseen by an urban planner, you can create the most realistic-looking city you've ever seen in a video game!

  • Quarters, factions, Age transitions... Your choices will shape your town's future!

  • Your inhabitants will have needs and expectations. Rely on buildings such as farms, cutting camps and quarries to ensure the livelihood of your pioneers.

  • Use your creativity and strategic skills to manage administrative and political centers to interact with your population.

  • Take the Senatus for instance : once built, you can propose and fund decrees, which will impact your city for short periods!

  • Face historical events like the Black Death and manage internal events such as riots and strikes that could lead to losing the game!

  • Build wonders like the Great Library of Alexandria, Windsor Castle, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Palace of Versailles and more to showcase your wealth and power throughout the ages!

  • The culture you choose will impact your city and offer significant replayability. Will you choose to be a craftsman, the influence of a politician, the mind of a philosopher, or something else?
