Varför Early Access?

“Ocelot Sunrise wants to be more than just a hoard-killing sci-fi game. We want to explore different functionalities and ambitious objectives, such as a narrative-driven in-game comic, unlocking new characters that break the archetype of your typical survivors game, and expand into the crazy world of mutations and cybermodifications on the scouts to improve their kits. All of these objectives take time and continuous development, and we believe it'll be more exciting to see the feedback of the users whilst we progress in order to achieve the game both the users want, and we desire to deliver!”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“Before we go 1.0, we want all of the more complex functionalities that will make the Ocelot universe something memorable. For this, we also wish to have all of our planets designed and ready to conquer, and all the relevant characters to the main narrative already integrated in-game. We estimate that for Q4 2024 we'll be achieving the 1.0 status.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“The Ocelot universe in its totality will be a big difference from our starting point in EA, for sure!

We plan to develop new functionalities and content, such as:

- Each scout has their own archetype, but the users will be able to dive in deeper into customization! Genetic maps for each scout in which their abilities can be modified into the desired playstyle the user is looking for.

- Explore the Ocelot ship as your main hub, in which you can interact with the different characters you unlock, see their relation with each other, and figure out more regarding their background and intentions.

- Expand and conquer over 7 planets, each one with their extreme mode! Each of these planets will have their unique bosses, unlockable characters, and special events.

- Get sporadic and randomized objectives from the Ocelot ship in order to unlock new content whilst on a mission! Saving civilians, closing void gates, salvaging broken ships...the objectives will be endless.

- Pre-combat meals with our robochef TH3RM0! Gather new recipes from different biomes and let TH3RM0 impress you with his cuisine and give your scouts the attributes and upgrades they're searching for.

- Want to understand what went wrong in the Ocelot universe? Unlock and understand all the comic slides of our characters and find out what "The Humming" is all about. Narrative-driven in-game comic, here we go!”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“We've set the basics and added a lot of playable content for the users to expand their weapon arsenal and try out several different build paths. For now, the content shown for EA is:

- 2 maps, each one with extreme mode, with their own creatures and different behaviors.
- 2 unlockable characters, each one having their own playstyle, ability kit (two unique active skills) and combat archetype.
- 8 Passive upgrades (3 per round) which compliment the scout's current run and refines the user's desired archetype.
- Metagame with genetic material, in which you can research 9 different powerups and purchase weapons from the store with the same currency.
- 2 bosses, each of which have their own set of abilities, and drop their unique pool of genetic mutations for the scout's current game run.
- More than 25 weapons to combine and utilize in the battlefield.
- 1 intro comic slide which lets us know the initial position of Quetza and the Ocelot ship.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“Yes! We want to be grateful with our community and with the people who believed in this project in the earliest stages of development, so, our way of saying thanks to all of the people who trust the process now, will be to give them a discounted version of the game. Once we achieve certain milestones, the price will change.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“In order to involve our community, we will be active in Twitter, Discord and our Steam page, and will be in continuous conversation with them in order to achieve the best version of the game we can at every stage! We're sure they can bring us brilliant ideas that we can later adapt and implement in-game, so, everyone should feel free to give us their feedback and we'll always do our best to address it!”
