What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I am a small student indie with very limited opportunities. The only option for me is the early access. Before early access, a demo will be available for approximately 6 months. Dowtrail is also a very unique game on Steam, and a lot of feedback will be needed to develop the game into the final state.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About 6 to 12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to add many new levels with even better designs. I also aim to increase the customization options for the bike and the rider character significantly.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“All the main features are implemented in the early access state. The game consists of tens of tracks and leaderboards so you can compare yourself with the other players. The basics of the customization are finished, but the selection is not as big as in the final product.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price is going to stay throughout Early Access but I plan to slightly increase it once the full version comes out.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I am looking forward to reviews of testers and their feedback. I will make my best as always to incorporate as many adjustments based on feedback as possible into the game. Any gameplay feedback will be greatly welcome as well. The easiest way to contact me and have a discussion with me and other players is via Discord: https://discord.gg/aT6x6DwpCg or via Steam forum.”

About This Game

Traildown: Downhill Mountain Biking is all about giving the player the maximum passion from the ride. Go as fast as you can, just on edge, and try to achieve the best time. Achieve medals and compare yourself to the others on the leaderboard!

The game consists of a campaign with tens of unique levels. The estimated gameplay time is about 4 hours. Achieving perfect times and climbing to the top of the leaderboards takes 10/100s of hours and very big balls. Can you make it?

You are able to fully customize your bike with any color and a huge variety of patterns.

I am a Ph.D. student indie developer. I have been developing the fre2play franchise "Engine Evolution" for 6 years, and now I have decided that I would like to try a different challenge. I always enjoy riding the bike down the hill fast, and I am trying to capture it as best as possible in this upcoming game.
