About This Game

Originally released in 1990, Zarlor Mercenary brought the excitement of top-down shooters to the Atari Lynx handheld console. Now, relive those days in this remastered emulated version.

WANTED: Hot gun for hire. Travel to several exotic and dangerous places. Discover several exotic and dangerous aliens and kill them. Kill lots. For cash. Buy more weapons and kill again.

Gameplay

Choose from a number of mercenaries, each of which start with a particular powerup. Fly a number of dangerous missions against a panoply of enemies. Pick up powerups to gain new abilities. Battle tough boss enemies at the end of each level. Destroy enemies to gain money which can be used between levels to upgrade your craft.


This enhanced version introduces a number of modern features to this retro classic, including:

  • Saving/loading the game at any point
  • Support for most modern game controllers
  • Full control remapping
  • Image scaling and smoothing options
