Waarom vroegtijdige toegang?

'Spiritus Vindicta is made possible by a very small team of one. Consequentially, there's only so much that can be done without bringing the game to more players. Getting feedback is important in making the changes needed to keep the game fun.

No need to worry though, the game's main story is already complete and you'll see the credits roll once finishing the story. However, this doesn't mean it can't be refined, updated, or changed. I have an idea of what's fun, what's hard, or what's easy, but this doesn't mean that other players will see it the same way I do. Ealy Access is a chance to see other's opinions that can drive changes in the difficulty of the game, changes to ghost behavior, or even changes to the story.

What I hope to accomplish with Early Access comes down to:
- Refining the core gameplay such as ghost behavior
- Refining progression: unlocks, money and xp rewards
- Refining the layout or details of maps
- Refining sound effects, music, story content
- Discovering and removing bugs'

Hoelang blijft dit spel ongeveer in vroegtijdige toegang?

'It's hard to make an exact timeline, but considering that a lot of the game's content is ready to go, the goal is to be in Early Access for a few months. Once feedback to the game is addressed, the full version can release and any post-release updates can continue from there.'

'Everything in the "About This" for the game is implemented and ready to go. The ghosts are ready to hunt, the maps are ready to be explored, evidence is ready to be logged, and exorcisms are ready to be performed. The main story is playable from start to finish.

So what's going to be different?

There is currently one planned update for the full version of the game. This update will be some extra story content for the hardest ghost (class 10 ghost) that you can find if you keep playing after the main story. This content will include story text, a unique map, and a unique song (cassette tape) for the ghost.

With player input there are plenty of things that can be changed and improved before final release.
Gameplay:
Major changes to core gameplay should not be expected, but there's room for improvement for the systems around it.
For Example:
- Changes to ghost behavior.
- Modifications to values behind the scenes that drives attacks, hunts, evidence, character panic, etc.
- Progression: changes to the money and XP earned during investigations, or when items/ghosts are unlocked.

Content:
As with gameplay, player feedback can drive changes in content too.
For Example:
- Modified or added story text.
- changes to sound effects.
- modified or added tools/items.
- changes to music.
- modified sprites.
- modified UI'

What Is It?

Spiritus Vindicta is a fun addition to the ever expanding ghost hunting genre bringing a new 2D, single-player experience to the table. Follow along a simple story as you take up the task of finding, and exorcising, the ghost that changed everything. Throughout your journey, you'll head out on numerous missions to haunted locations as you investigate the ghosts lurking there. You will need to find and log evidence as you explore each location in order to learn about the ghosts and what you need to do to exorcise them. Experience what it's like to search in fear as you fight to stay calm and, most importantly, alive.

What to Expect

For those who are familiar with the ghost hunting genre, you'll probably feel right at home with exploring environments for evidence while trying to survive ghost hunts. However, you'll notice a few differences as this game aims to be less realistic and slightly faster paced. There will still be a few scares along the way, but a more traditional game-like tone underlies the experience.

  • Investigate and exorcise 10 different types of ghosts

  • Experience different ghost attacks as they get more dangerous over the course of the story.

  • Be ready to hide from ghosts on the hunt

  • Explore more than 20 haunted locations featuring over 15 different types of locations while experiencing different weather conditions

  • Learn about 10 categories of evidence that inform the rituals you need to perform to exorcise the ghosts.

  • Experience numerous supernatural events as you try to survive
