What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

I will use Steam Early Access to implement changes that need community feedback. For next year, I plan to add new content, community, and competitive features. After that, I have some roughly lined-up ideas. But if they don't resonate with the community, I will change or abandon these ideas.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“1 - 2 years”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will embody the following features:
  • Guild System
  • Ranking System and new Difficulty for each Dungeon
  • Dungeon Finder
  • 5 Tanks, 5 Healer and 7 Damage-Dealer weapons to choose from
  • 7 different levels
  • Steam achievements
  • Localization (at minimum German)

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Following features have already been implemented:
  • full Core Raiding System: Abilities, Buffs, Aoes, Pets
  • 2 Tanks, 2 Healer and 4 Damage-Dealer weapons are already available
  • 5 different Dungeons at 3 different Difficulty-Levels
  • Experience-based Talent-system to enhance your items
  • Essence system to further customize your items
  • Customizable Raid-Interface

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I hope to conduct the main part of the communication through tickets in github: https://github.com/mayope/raids-issues. You can also contact me through Discord: https://discord.com/invite/7nebWNpzF6”

About This Game

Raiding.Zone is a PvE arena game inspired by World of Warcraft and Warframe. The gameplay revolves around the roles of Tank, Healer, and Damage-Dealer

Raiding.Zone doesn't have "classes". Instead, your equipment determines your abilities and your role in the raid. The weapon provides your primary spells and sets your role. Your armor and trinket will grant you a defensive and utility spell each.

While using your weapon, you gain experience. This experience unlocks different talents on each weapon. You can choose one talent at each level.

You can further customize your items by mounting essences. Essences grant raw stats to your item. They will also augments on certain essence combinations.

You won’t need 15 players to form a complete raid. Most raids are completable alone.

You add multiple raiders to your raid. You will control one of them at a time.

The server takes care of the bots you aren’t controlling right now.
To influence their behavior, you can use commands and attack modes.

The Idea of Casual Raiding

I am a huge fan of MMORPGs. I particularly enjoy the raiding experience. I like to play in coordination with other people to defeat a boss. In recent years, I developed an aversion to the current direction of popular MMOs. I don't want to grind for hours to have one hour of raiding time.
That feeling sparked the idea to develop an MMORPG that focuses on raiding. Since October 2021, I worked on Raiding.Zone in my free time.
I am a professional developer since 2016. This is my first experience with game development. I enjoy the learning process.

I will use Steam Early Access to implement changes that need community feedback. For next year, I plan to add new content, community, and competitive features. After that, I have some roughly lined-up ideas. But if they don't resonate with the community, I will change or abandon these ideas.

Raiding.Zone servers are only available in Europe and North America. Please reconsider if you want to buy Raiding.Zone, if you are from other continents. Your ping might be too high for you to enjoy the game.
