What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to get Duck Race into as many streams as possible, and while the game isn't quite in the state we desire, Steam is by far the best place to be found.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Duck Race has been in passive development for a few years, but with a recent uptick in interest and motivation, we are pushing regular updates and improvements. While there is a still a way to go, the groundwork is in place for a quack turnaround with new courses and accessories. Expect the full raft early 2023.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We hope for the full version to allow streamers to track their community's racing stats live, enabling them to run private duck leagues.
There is also planned additional content for purchase, including seasonal and themed hat and map packs, one-off/exclusive duck skins, etc.
We also hope to integrate all streaming platforms to allow for a broader streaming audience.
Additionally, there is scope for a charity implementation, to enable streamers to run their own charity Duck Races seamlessly with a trusted third-party fundraising organisation.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Duck Race is currently in a fully working and playable state. There are currently 13 skins, 25 hats/accessories (with 20+ more hidden and unlockable), and 6 courses from which to choose and race on.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will remain the same on full release, however anybody supporting Duck Race in EA will receive some exclusive benefits.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Duck Race has an open Discord server in which players can share feedback/report any bugs or issues they encounter.”
