“We would appreciate feedback from the players during the development in order to fix the detected flaws promptly, as well as to develop the game's community.”

“Several years. We plan to release the full version of one of the eight chapters in 2024, but at this stage, it is difficult to predict how long the production of the rest will take. It may go faster due to the existing materials being reused.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will include all eight chapters, as well as achievements and DLC with game development details. The game will be translated into more languages.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently there is a Prologue and first day of Destitute Chapter, which takes 3-5 hours to read.”

“We plan to keep the game free, but paid DLC with bonus content may be released.”

About This Game

Touhou: Fading Illusion is a visual novel set in Touhou Project universe that comprehensively describes Gensokyo and its inhabitants. Get ready to meet many of the series' iconic characters and travel to various locations in the Underworld, Gensokyo, Heaven, and even Outside World!

Synopsis:

They say curiosity killed the cat, but Yukari Yakumo didn't seem to know the saying. Her little experiment with the Hakurei Barrier had consequences that the youkai world was not prepared for. Gensokyo is shaken by a series of small and seemingly unrelated incidents, and eight groups of youkai and humans set out for investigation. None of them suspects what their actions might result in.
