“At first glance this looks like a platform game but it isn't really. True, there are platforms around, but they are really there to create a simple form of maze. The game is simple too, flap or walk your way round until you find a randomly hidden pudding, eat it and another will appear somewhere else in the maze of interlinked screens. Keep you energy up by eating flying things, whilst avoiding eating anything else as that just decreases your energy. As a result the game is very playable [...] Graphically it is very good with nice animation and the large maze characters add to the atmosphere. Sound, too, is good, with a powerful synthesiser tune at the start. I enjoyed it”

關於此遊戲

Originally released in 1984 for the ZX Spectrum, this classic surreal platformer saw players take on the role of Pud Pud, a bizzare yellow ball-like creature with wings and a giant chomping mouth, trying to survive in the appropriately named Weird World. Now, relive those days in this remastered emulated version.

Gameplay

Explore the Weird World by walking or flying and find the 10 hidden bowls of pudding to find the secret exit. Some creatures can be eaten to replenish energy, while others damage you. Beware the fearsome Mrs Pud Pud, for her kiss is deadly!


This enhanced version introduces a number of modern features to this retro classic, including:

  • Saving/loading the game at any point
  • Support for most modern game controllers
  • Full control remapping
  • Image scaling and smoothing options
