Why Early Access?

“The game is feature complete and entirely playable. There are over 150 dessert recipes, 3 types of stores, over 100 awards, daily challenges, prestige based advancement systems and months worth of gameplay absolutely free. The game is already released in mobile markets and I intend to fully support Steam as my next platform.

I am starting out as early access as there may be performance issues on some systems and I would like to gather some benchmarks for hardware before leaving early access. Idle Baker Boss has been ported from Android and iOS so there may be some transitioning bugs to sort out. New content could be added based off user suggestions if feasible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to remain in early access until I feel comfortable with the feedback from players on performance and general approval of the content within the game. I'm hoping for this to be accomplished within 1-2 months and ideally exiting early access in the fall of 2022.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I will use the time in early access to optimized for variety of systems based off the users feedback, fix any bugs reported, and make some adjustments to gameplay as needed.

I do frequently update the game with new content so there may be new additions added to the systems listed in the about section like more awards, desserts, events, challenges and upgrades.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is entirely playable with all of the features listed in the about section fully developed. The content can presently take months to unlock everything. There may be some performance issues, and early access will help me to determine areas of the game that may need more attention for optimizations. Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, the game is entirely free from start to finish and will not change upon final release. There are in game purchases which will be used to unlock boosts, however, they will not gate the user and will be entirely optional.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I will try my best to answer all users questions though the linked Discord channel, Reddit or Steam Forum Q&A. I actively engage with my community and would be happy to discuss potential adjustments, new features, bugs and performance issues. Always happy to answer any gameplay related questions and general engagement with my players through any of these means.”
