Why Early Access?

“I want players to be able to give feedback to guide what the final release will look like. The earlier it can fall into the hands of people who love the genre the more I can make sure that the game moves in a direction to satisfy their wants.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I estimate Asterogues will stay in Early Access for around 6 months to a year after the initial launch.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of the game will contain the first 5 zones and first 5 planet bosses, with 3 bonus playable characters to unlock. The full version will allow you to finish your revenge against the Sun and the remaining planets, and will feature brand new playable characters, enemies, zones and items.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is ready to play, and bug-tested. Some menus and UI are a little barebones and planned to be updated, along with the basic hub area.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I don’t have any plans to change the price upon completion of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I'm eager for the community to suggest new content in all forms - items, enemies, rooms, new characters, etc, as well as suggesting tweaks to existing content. There’s a Discord server where people can talk with me directly and also report bugs. We already have a few community suggestions implemented and many others on the way. Definitely recommend getting involved there to help me make Asterogues as fun as possible!”
