Miksi Early Access?

TAXINAUT is an ambitious project for a single developer: it has a huge open galaxy and many little mechanics and moving parts. The game is playable (its main story can be completed) but I want to make the general game-play like running regular taxi fares a lot more interesting.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

I've basically designed the game so I (and possibly others) can keep expanding it and create more content for it. However I want to create a version 1.0 that I feel marks a certain basic standard. I'm guessing that in itself will take more than a year.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

The full version aims to provide more:

• More story-lines that lead you to certain items and places.
  
• More interesting passengers by having some have their own story-lines.
  
• More difficulties (e.g. aggressive ships) in certain zones and especially in space.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

TAXINAUT has been worked on for 6 years. It is playable, has a full tutorial and story that can be completed. Just running fares is quite exciting for a while but it all needs to be expanded and have more interest. Obtaining certain items is just a matter of having a lot of luck at the moment and this in particular needs work. It also probably needs a good bit of balancing things like prices and difficulty etc.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

The full version will be more expensive.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

There's no "plan" here other than that I'm open to any comments, suggestions etc. (You can use the Steam-forum or the mosgrom discord, etc.). Depending on how much of this I get, I might not always be responsive because it's only me and I'm simply busy trying to improve TAXINAUT.

I'de like to mention here that TAXINAUT is fully moddable (you have to know or be willing to learn Java and there are no tools). I can't make any commitment on documenting this and/or making it easier but it is there fully functional (the base game itself uses it extensively).

Also, if you're interested in donating art-work (like NPC portraits) or even music then let me know. It will have to fit with my "vision" of TAXINAUT to ship with the game.
