Wozu Early Access?

„The demo was not even intended to become a real game but I started talking with people who gave me ideas and asked me to add feature, improve the gameplay.... Make it a real game, not just some sadistic traps assembly with a poor designated voluntary golem crash tester !
I realised that not only it could become a very fun game, but it needed to be made with the vict-- I mean the players ! 😜
Don't worry, we will always try to keep the original idea that is "difficult but fun platformer gameplay with puzzle mechanics and secrets". Of course, without sacrificing visual quality but with a focus on performances.“

„A year Minimum, two absolute maximum.“

Wie soll sich die Vollversion von der Early Access-Version unterscheiden?

„We plan to add as Many levels as possible ! 😤
We want them to present new challenges for the players where they will swear a lot but... do it having fun ! 😋
Be prepared for some weird new mechanics, traps, bonuses... that might be added in the near future to keep the experience fresh.
But don't worry ! We will try to make sure completionists and speed-runners have as much fun as casual players thanks to our pity system.“

„
  • The totally not brutal Tutorial
  • 4 levels full of surprises and sometimes more than one solution
  • An agile golem ready to serve magical science, even if it means be remodelled 100 times ! They have infinite "lives" after all...
  • A save system allowing you to continue from the checkpoint in your last level. Of course, you can choose to reset the level or go back to another one.
  • A counter + end level screen-shot as proof of your achievement !
  • An online experimental co-op system (for now, connection by IP or using Epic Online Services)
  • A pity system making the game a bit less hard every time you die. Of course, it can be disabled.

Hello sadi-- *khof* I mean magic questing friends !

In Lovely Traps Dungeon, you will guide our dear golem friend through the mad wizard's mazes and twisted contraptions in an attempt to recover his immense knowledge ! 🧙‍♂️

P.S : Golems are just moulded clay so don't worry about petty things like pulverization...​

😈✒️ Game in active development ❤️‍🔥

🎮 Gameplay :

  • Third person platformer, sometimes sidescroller, with puzzle mechanics

  • Grab magic gear to get abilities !

  • Classic WASD or ZQSD | left stick controls with mouse or right stick to orient view

  • Keyboard users can use Left Shift to force safe slow walk.

  • Mouse wheel or gamepad Up and Down control zoom

  • Slide on inclined surfaces, jump from them while keeping momentum !

  • Beauuuutiful graphics ! (or at least we hope so)

  • If something can be pushed, just move towards it, the golem will handle it

  • Dodge death using skills. Unlock them in the challenges room !

    Default one is a "dive" with an invincibility frame.

  • No lives or "continue". You melted, got compressed, crushed or rolled over ? You will respawn at the last visited checkpoint.

  • Time attack : there is a timer on top of your screen and a proof screenshot is taken at the end of each level.

  • You can manually make a high definition screenshot. Please first set a key in the Input menu.

  • There is often more than one solution

💾 Setup and play (Outside of Steam) :

On Windows the LovelyTrapsDungeon(_Demo).bat script
On Linux the LovelyTrapsDungeon(_Demo).sh script

A desktop launcher can be created to put on your desktop or anywhere else :

On Windows, using the SETUP-CreateDesktopShortcu.bat script
On Linux, using the SETUP-CreateDesktopShortcu.sh script

🖥️ Performances :

The game is as optimized as possible, the goal being to run smoothly on my favourite device : the SteamDeck ❣️

It auto-configures but you can tweak visual settings, key bindings, sensitivity, accessibility options...
