Miksi Early Access?

We’ve found that we end up with a better product when we can release new features and get feedback from players as we go, rather than trying to finish everything 100% before showing the public. This is also true for game balance as well.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

Maybe until Q2 2025? We're working as fast as possible to finish the features and content, so it could be sooner or later that depending on our progress.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

We’re planning to add lots of content and features over the course of Early Access. We’d like the character roster to get up to 20. We have part of the single player career mode implemented now, but we’ll implement a lot more of it. And we plan to add asynchronous play and a ranking system for online play.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The Early Access version has 14 playable characters. The game should feel generally polished and feature-rich already. It has full support for Steam Deck already as well. All these modes are available:
--Online play in the queue
--Online play where you directly challenge someone in your friends list
--Local pass-and-play
--Single player vs AI
--Combo practice mode
--Career mode*
Career mode only has about 3/8th of the planned content right now. We’re going to expand this mode quite a bit over the course of Early Access.

There is one expansion available ("Renegades", with just 2 characters) that we are also testing during the early access period. We have no other expansion content planned. Testing this one expansion along with the base game will help us have the most stable, bug-free release possible.

No. We plan to keep the price the same, and add lots and content and features for free over the course of early access.

We get a ton of benefit from bug reports from the community. In addition, we get lots of feedback on balance as well as which features people like or want. Players can talk to other players or us directly in the #yomi channel on our discord: discord.gg/SirlinGames. We also try to monitor the Steam forums for the game.

Yomi 2 is a fighting game in card form. Learn your character, practice combos, and read the opponent's tendencies. Yomi captures the feel of fighting games such as Street Fighter and Fantasy Strike and was created by a lead designer of both.

Cards represent your moves: attacks, blocks, throws, dodges, and abilities. For example, throws beat blocks:



Manage your hand to keep your options open while also trying to build up the right cards to pull off a big combo:

Fighting System

  • Exchange! You can exchange a card in your hand with one in your discard pile each turn as long as both have the exchange symbol. Will you use this to build stronger combos or to cover your weaknesses?
  • Gems. Pick a gem to augment your character. Each gem gives you different special moves and abilities as well as a once-per-game "gem storm" that can turn the tides to your favor.
  • High and low attacks. Just like in a fighting game, some attacks must be blocked high while others must be blocked low. These “mixups” are especially effective if your opponent is knocked down.
  • Projectiles. “Zoner” characters can build up their hand size while throwing relatively low risk fireball-type moves.
  • Super moves. Build up super meter that you can spend on powerful super moves. To get super meter, you can discard pairs or you can land "chain combos" of consecutive attacks.
