What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early Access is a process that has been on the rise lately especially in the sandbox simulation genre producing very positive results both in terms of the development of the game and the experience of the players. We also would like to improve our game and approach its final state with our players instead of just the developer team. While in Early Access, the players who give their valuable feedback will be what actually makes the game better in the end.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are currently planning to hit the release in about 4 or 5 months. The reason for that is, the core technical part can be mostly called done and now we are on either adding features or balancing the game flow. So we hope to achieve a stable and feature-rich state in that timeframe.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Right now, the game does not feature any animal system. Only some animational, non-game animals are present. This is the first thing we'd like to see come to the game. We want to incorporate animals with both having them produce for the farm and hunting systems. We also aim to have somewaht magical animals to help the player throughout the game at rare times.

A second thing we want to add is more maps. We are handcrafting and carefully designing every map we have so it takes time and it's not random. That's why currently only 2 maps are ready but others are in the works and we hope to get them in by release.

A third thing we want to have in game is landscaping resources and buildings with which you can customize your farm's look in any way you wish as the system allows.

We also would like to improve the challenging parts of the game as a general concept. Specifically we'd like to add a few more challenges like floods or others disasters.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We are developing the game using the Unity engine but we also did design our own tools to come up with the levels we create. So basically, we are making a custom level editor to produce the maps. This means that core technicality (Coding, tooling, Tech Art, UI/UX etc..) is almost complete.

Specifically, there are currently 2 large maps, with different quests and questlines in them. The game currently has 200+ resources including crops, mixtures, products, edibles and dairy products and more. 15+ buildings and 3 different workers. These resources and buildings are the main driving force of the game and handling them is the main challenge against time. Both maps and possibly the future maps include a main big quest where the player has to produce or fulfill many different needs by either the kingdom or its people.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Short answer: Yes. We aim to increase the price of the game by a small amount.

Long answer: The reason for the increase is the amount of content that we hope to add to the game during early access and the sole privilege of having the game before it was complete and helping us to produce a better game that way.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have an official Discord server where all our players, regardless of if they have the game or not can meet. In that server there is a special channel for Early Access owners and they will have priority when they are giving feedback to us and we also hope to have periodic meetings with the developer team and the community to listen to the feedback we receive.”

About This Game

Magiterra

depicts a magician of the nature with having "Magi", magic for latin and "Terra", earth for latin as 2 words. The character Magiterra is a leader for his people. Magiterra can craft seeds out of nature using the special power called Terrapower which allows him to create crop fields almost out of thin air. Then with the help of his peculiar people who are called Salamanders and Merricks, Magiterra is able to come up with entire settlements that compliment nature and nourish production. His people also handle all the communication and transportation for the settlement at any given time.

If you click on the image below, you can see the large version for our roadmap. This is the current estimated features that will get in the game before full release. Hopefully all works out and we make the game even better with these features! Some are already in the works. A few things are already done! :) Check the latest updates to see the progress!

In the game, we have a kingdom called Golas. Recently, well-loved King Maphotesus began to lose his people to increasing sicknesses and loss of wealth due to his old age and nature's unforgiving actions. Thus, he asks for help from an old friend who is our very own Magiterra. Coming to the kingdoms help, Magiterra now is allowed to build and expand his settlement near the kingdom to help the trade flow, heal the nature and to cure sicknesses.

One of the key features of the game is that the controls are much similar to real-time strategy games in terms of peripheral usage and the UI so the main experience of the game flows like a real time simulation and it also incorporates the relaxed state of a farm simulator.

The game consists of building crop fields, farms and buildings that process the product that come out of these. It's a balance between time and resource management. The player can trade items, buy or sell with gold, fulfill restaurant recipes and fill warehouses to complete given quests by the king.
