Why Early Access?

“My plans for The Idle Undead are massive and include several minigames, storylines and hundreds of hours of gameplay. It already includes several hours of gameplay and more basic gameplay.
The Idle Undead is my first game and I am still learning how everything works and the game will develop alongside me while I learn to add new gameplay.
Early access also helps me get feedback on the game before it fully releases allowing me to make sure everything is perfect for launch.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Once early access launches the plan is for it to stay in early access for a few years while I add more content to the game. Once I'm fully satisfied with the level of content in the game and all the extra content has been added it may be fully released.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I have plans to add several minigames, a basic story and much more at the moment

These are my plans for features I'd like to add, although not all may be added or there may be unplanned features as well:
- Several Mini-Games
- 3 Hours or Longer Story Mode
- Possibly Support for More Languages than English
- More basic content than already present
- DLC Zombie Mode”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Although I have ambitious plans for the full launch, the Early Access launch will be in a polished state with several hours of gameplay already, Including:
- Survivors, Base Upgrades and Boosts
- Cards and Enemy Attacks
- At least 1 Mini-Game
and more!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will probably remain Free to Play but with DLC adding on the gameplay.
This DLC will be either smaller cosmetics in game or large gameplay expansions that add hours of content.
I do not currently have plans to add any form of DLC that makes the main game easier, like giving boosts etc. All expansions will play separately and not effect the main gameplay.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Throughout development I will be listening to player's feedback and making improvements to the gameplay based on it, as well as frequently updating my players with development updates through posts and videos documenting the changes I'm making. You can provide feedback through email, twitter, as well as discord.”
