Miksi Early Access?

The thing that I miss the most in my hobbyist solo developer journey is playtesting and quality feedback. This is the purpose of the early release so you can help me refine and DEFINE the game which is now kind of a casual racing/driving game with some shooting elements.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

As a hobby solo developer it is hard for me to estimate the speed of the development progress. I want to make American Cars ‘n Guns a great and beautiful game. We hope that the game will exit early access in about a year from being published in early access.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

We plan for the game in early access to have most of the core features implemented and to be fully playable as a regular racing game. We expect the game to exit early access (v 1.0) with more content (more cars and tracks) but also more racing modes.

American cars 'n guns is an artistic casual game featuring cars inspired by legendary American muscle cars (and some others). The cars are modeled with lots of love containing many unique features and details.

Car physics is somewhere between simulation and arcade striving for ultimate game driving fun.

You can race against the clock, against AI or other player in local split screen mode or vial local or internet connection.

Main Features:

Online multiplayer

Supports up to 4 players.

Anyone can host their own public or private game.

Single player

Try making the best time on the leaderboard – share recording of your driving for others to race you as a ghost.

Race against recorded ghost cars from the leaderboard.

Race against AI.

Recording races

Each race is recorded locally for later viewing from different angles and playback speed – create amazing videos.

If you end up in top 10 of current track leaderboard your recording gets uploaded to the leaderboard and available for other players to race you as a ghost car.

Customization

Select car color including shynyness/smoothness

Select car tire color giving your signature tire smoke and skidmarks which are permanent allowing for artistic race results.

Special extras

Beautiful ladies as passengers with customizable bikinis and breast size – all subject to realistic physics 😊.

Drivers with different outfits

Fun details

Unusual details like realistic car suspensions, painted timing belts which show animations as they spin. When driving on sand car tires get dirty as well as the car body. Body dirt is permanent while tires get clean after driving on asphalt.

Open seagull door, flip lights.

Each car has unique and fully functional dashboard.

Shoot everything

Shooting other cars makes bullet holes and deforms the metal – super satisfying, try shooting any object in the scene (especially other players’ tires).

Fun tracks

Each track besides just the road has artistic design with features such as aquarium to drive through, statue of Liberty is somewhere there.

Voice chat

The game supports voice chat.
