What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“It's important for us that the community is involved with the development of the game. We are making a game that we ourselves would enjoy - but most of all is fun for others. Because of the sheer complexity of the game community feedback is extremely useful for steering the game into the right direction and making it fun for everyone involved.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect the development to continue for a year after early access launch and become feature complete in mid-2023. If development takes longer we will gladly take more time to make a game we - and the community are happy with.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game will launch with more contained stories that offer different gameplay mechanics, enemies and features.

Development will continue after release with bug fixes and potential new content.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of the game includes the first story line the game along with several SCPs. This story is playable from start-to-finish but is still a work in progress and will receive many changes throughout the game's development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will stay the same on release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The plan is use the feedback of the community to improve the game. After all, it's a game that is meant to be played by them.

They can reach us through platforms like Discord and Twitter, along with the discussions forums on Steam.”

About This Game

O-5 has given you clearance to access the foundation's archive. Within are stored many documents of research and disasters that have happend throughout the countless sites. Documents describing death, d-class riots, terrifying anomalies and breaches. What happened here?

SCP: Archive is a "cooperative" multiplayer horror game where you and a group of friends play through several different stories ('archives') to escape the facility, research anomalies or start a breach to survive. Survival is not guaranteed, but maybe together you'll be alright? Based on the SCP Foundation, this game features many elements of the expansive collection of anomalies, along with some originals.

This game is meant to be played with friends or any other group you can gather. Proximity voice chat allows you to talk to your peers, or scream in terror as your associates' neck is broken by SCP-173.

Inside of the facility are many useful tools you can use to assist in your escape. Others are not so useful or even outright dangerous. It's up to you to decide what to use, when to use it and how to use it. Maybe think twice about throwing a seemingly innocent bouncy ball in the direction of a living human.
