(I'm currently talking to Steam about how to enable a player to own multiple Friend Slots. Right now, anyone who owns the base game can bring 1 friend along, but no more.)

Pilot the whale while your friend rides on a dog

Go on a co-op roguelike adventure
Play minigames at the Minigame Park

You can also treat this as a demo, which you can play solo or co-op, and satisfy your lifelong desire to burst through the clouds on the back of a flying dog.
