About This Game

Haven's Embers is a Norse-based action rpg that follows a slave girl and two immortal wolves as they challenge the will of the Gods!



Synopsis:

In a time before man, the great Fenrir wolf was fooled into chains. His children, Skoll and Hatti, alone dared an attempt to free him. They waged a short battle against the Gods, but were quickly overcome, and enslaved themselves.

Centuries later, a young slave girl dreams of becoming a renowned Shieldmaiden. During a chance encounter with the wolves, the world as she knows it will be turned upside down, and the choices she makes going forward could very well lead to the Ragnarok (end of days).

Join Eona, Skoll, and Hatti on their grand adventure, and through your choices, help shape the outcome of their journey. Can a young girl who has known only bitterness and resentment find the courage to be more than her past? Or, is she doomed only to pay it forward as others are forced to experience her pain?

You alone, will decide.

Gameplay:

- Interactive/environmental storytelling, custom hand-drawn style, music, and heavy reference to Norse mythology.

- Choice matters - Players will work toward one of three unique endings, entirely dependant upon "points" accumulated during pivotal choices during your gameplay.

- Chrono Trigger inspired combo system allows Eona to interact more and more with Skoll and Hatti during battle as skill trees are progressed.

- Hunting mechanic will allow the player to hunt unique game throughout the story's world. Leveling this skill will open up stronger and rarer beasts to add to your collection of accomplishments.

- Hnefatafl minigame inspired by the real life past-times of the Viking people. This pre-chess tabletop also referred to as, "King's Table", is sure to be a fan favorite. Engage with NPCs of varying levels to collect unique King pieces. Collect them all for a special in-game prize!

- Gather ingredients to create special dishes with our recipe and cooking module! Each dish provides your party with a special stat boost, and not all the recipes will be easy to find.

- Unravel the mysteries of this world through an array of side content just as expansive as the story itself. Work toward finding the best equipment in the game by solving age old riddles, and defeating ancient beasts.

- Steam Achievement system will be a must have for all of the completionists out there. This will be a game you'll love to gloat about.
