Why Early Access?

“I have much i wish to do with Unwind, but i am aware i tend to distract myself with random ideas that i come up with. We're not MERCURIAL development for nothing!

With YOUR help, Unwind will form into a more and intuitive game that anyone can pick up for a bit, farm and grow some stuff, improve their house/castle a little bit more and be content.

Or you can binge it for 14 hours straight and make the most badass castle you can come up with. You do you! YOUR choices and input will direct the way this game goes down the line.

Early Access will give me the time i need to generate assets and sounds to complete our goals.
Goals include:
  • Seed milling and trade with MULTIPLE forms of life, located around the worlds.
  • An expansive mine system for you to explore and gather resources to trade.
  • Full freedom to construct a building to your own liking. No overlap prevention, get wild.
  • A wider array of wildlife to collect, a third biome for random plants to grow and more plant variety.
  • More down the line, im sure. With your input, theres no end to what we can make!

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I aim for Alpha to be no more than a year, however i am learning as i go so lets see how we go.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“At the end of Early Access, I aim for player freedom to be expanded beyond simple farmlife:

Castle construction from harvested and treated materials.
Inbuilt twitter/instagram connectivity for screenshots.
Hundreds of possible items to be placed anywhere you want.

--Items ranging from flags, tables, chairs, knives, forks, plates, cups, anything and everything you could imagine a castle needing.

A fully explorable mine system that you, the player, build out.

I really want to test myself on what i can make Unity do, and im not fond of thinking small.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At its current state, there is only harvesting, trading and placing of basics available to the player.

I do aplologise for this, but money is tight and im taking a risk even splurging the money to put this on the store.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Prices will remain the same. Even should Unwind take off, I am making this to make people happy and relaxed, and a price hike goes against that ideal.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As the people who play unwind, your input is highly valuable. You will give me structure and concepts, a direction i will happily head towards because in the end, I am not making this game for me, i am making this game for you. I want to see your castles, your houses and your worlds, i want to know you are happy.

About This Game

Sit back and Unwind, exploring the worlds and building your cabin up.

Grab a pair of shears and head out, grab a plant and bring it home. At the moment, you can jar it or plant it, but in the near future, the introduction of a fully functional trade system will give you more choice on what you get for each. As well as a seed mill to convert a single plant into many that grow as you play!

Plants not your thing? Get your trusty net and hunt down some insects. At the moment, there is only 8 types of butterflies, but future releases will bring more variety and sound to the surrounding forest, with grass hoppers, beetles and moths at night to be caught.

Hows the view! Not to your liking? Grab an axe and go remove the obstacle. Dont forget to collect the wood, you never know what you might be able to build with it.

The choice is yours as to how to play. The tools are there, get out and explore! As we progress down the line, more activities will become available.
Activities include:

    • Additional Notes: This is all just a guess. I am in no way tech aware.
