Varför Early Access?

“We want to use Early Access to build the game with the community. Multiplayer roguelikes' success depends on community, and community shapes how the game will be expanded in the future. We want to ask and listen to the community's feedback. That said, we want to deliver Early Access that is fully playable and as bug-free as we can make it. We want Early Access to create a lot of new content, not a fully functional game.”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“We want to be in Early Access between 12 to 18 months. Our target is 12 months, but surely we do not want to be in EA for more than 18 months, no matter what.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“Early Access scope content wise is: 4 Coalition of Aspects (short-term progression), 3 playable characters (each with 50 M.O.D.S - our long-term progression), 2 full Biomes (each with 2 bosses and a minimum of 5 different enemy types), and 3 players co-op. In the full version, we plan to have: 5 Coalitions of Aspects, 5 playable characters (each with 50 M.O.D.S. ) and 3 full Biomes. It’s not set in stone, but we would like to change the game engine from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5 during EA.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“The Early Access version is already playable. 2 full biomes, 3 characters, short- and long-term progression, and co-op are working. We are working on the 3rd biome and making a lot of improvements.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“Yes, based on the content, we plan for the full version to be priced higher.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“In every way, we already have Discord set up, and we will engage the community to create a better experience through tests (we are working on special forms), listening to feedback, and having the community decide what to do in each game update. During EA, we want to release at least 1 big update every 2-3 months, adding more playable characters, balance changes, and new enemies.”

Ultra Mega Cats is a fast-paced roguelike cooperative third-person shooter. In it, you control one of the Mega Cats, armed to the fangs with the goal of escaping corporate captivity while battling hordes of enemies. Fight through a series of randomly selected rooms and perform feats of dexterity and skill in an extremely dynamic environment – solo or with friends.

Go rogue and awaken your purr instincts

Imagine living in a world flipped upside down, where rodents and feathered forces rule and cats are shunned. You're one of the last cats standing – disgraced, brainwashed, and trained to serve your former prey as their personal killing machine. But that is not enough, as the cat’s soul knows no master! Awaken your inner predator and restore balance to this world!

Put your foes in their place

While your rage-fuelled instinct and millenia of evolutionary experience may make you think that pouncing with claws and fangs at your enemies will get the job done, well, things have changed drastically, and your enemies have caught on. You’ll need to make good use of your skills, especially against the likes of bomb-carrying hamsters.

Utilize a wide range of abilities and playstyles to survive the onslaught of enemies in your way.

As you move throughout the world with cat-like agility, you’re able to tailor your experience to your liking. Choose your favorite Mega Cat, personalize your loadout, and discover thousands of build possibilities, allowing you to play however you want.

At your disposal: Choose from five different ultra cats (two at Early Access launch) with different play styles and personalities. Each cat has 50 different M.O.D.s that can be unlocked, offering more variety.
Friends fur-ever: Streamlined, arena-based co-op PvE combat for up to three players in Early Access.
Gods of the Arena: Each arena is arranged into ever-changing biomes through level generation. Thanks to different Coalitions (each consisting of different Aspects), no two playthroughs are the same.
It’s purrdy: The game’s stunning, vibrant art style packs as much of a punch as your cat hero will, ka-pow!
Who wants to live in a world ruled by mice anyway?: Work together to free the three Ancient Cats from their enslavement, defeat your rodent and bird enemies and create a new cattopia for felines everywhere.
