Why Early Access?

“Windsor is very early in development - this version is a pre-alpha.
We need your input for the game to achieve its potential. We’re hoping early players will find exploits, suggest new features, and point out bugs enabling us to make the best game possible. There is a ton of tuning needed in a game of this type and we hope players will work with us to get everything balanced properly.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect it will be in early access for about a year. We are going to keep working on Windsor until our players tell us it’s awesome, though!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We are currently working on adding new unit types, generals with special abilities, and a tech tree that will power-up your Kingdom.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Windsor is a fully playable MMO RTS but large parts of the game remain unfinished or placeholder. Having run several closed playtests and are ready to open it up to a wider audience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Windsor is free in early access because we want to get as much feedback as possible. We expect to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our approach is community centric. We have an active discord where we respond to all feedback and will be updating the game several times a week in response to bugs, features, and tuning requests.”
