'UnderMine 2 is an ambitious game, and Thorium is a small studio. Simply put, we don't have the testing capacity for the millions of combinations of item, character, and environmental interactions. The Community also provides critical gameplay, story, and balance feedback. We believe that EA is integral to developing a highly interactive roguelike. '

'It's hard to say, but it's likely longer than UnderMine, which was a year. We have so much ambition for this game, and we probably have one to two years of ideas we'd like to implement before 1.0, which also won't be the end of continued support.'

'UnderMine 2 already has roughly the same amount of content as UnderMine. We plan to add more features, modes, zones, stories, enemies, items, and other content. We have already prepared the game to easily expand in these areas.'

'UnderMine 2 releases into Early Access in a highly polished and content-rich state. We have done our best to eliminate all crashes and as many bugs as possible, although part of the EA process is to find more elusive issues, so there is always some instability.

UM2, on EA release, includes co-op play and mod support and has about the same level of content in the form of zones, items, enemies, characters, and story as UnderMine. We estimate that players who plan to unlock everything in the initial EA release will have 30-50 hours of playtime. '

Over dit spel

Building on the best aspects of UnderMine, an acclaimed action-adventure roguelike, UnderMine 2 takes place immediately after the events of the original game, but can be played as a completely stand-alone experience.

Hundreds of new and classic items return and present a nearly infinite set of build possibilities. Charm enemies and use their abilities to your advantage. Cycle your potions endlessly and push your stats over the limit. Or grab a Fuel Injector and meme your way to victory by nuking a boss with a bomb that is far too large.

Camilla, demoted to Third Disciplinarian by King Faraam, struggles to bring the Goldmine back into operational form. Aid her, rescue helpful characters from the depths of the Undermine, and uncover what King Faraam is really up to. (Eventually, we are still in Early Access, after all.)

PLAY WITH A FRIEND

Invite a friend and play through the entirety of UnderMine 2 together. Two-player local co-op lets you tackle the game together. Discover character and item synergies that only exist when playing with a partner, or have someone to hold you if things get overwhelming.

PLAYABLE CHARACTERS

Discover, unlock, and play as new characters such as the lucky and ambitious Black Rabbit, or the dark and brooding Inquisitor Danté. The trusty Peasant is, of course, still an option. Each character has unique upgrades, abilities, and interactions, making for a fresh experience every run.

THE WELL, AN ENDLESS CHALLENGE

The Well, a never-ending challenge, awaits you at the bottom of the Undermine. Powerful enemies and bosses will test your skills and build. Discover its unique challenges, plan your run to overcome them, and see how far you can truly delve.

ARCANA

Wield new, interactive relics called Arcana. Each adds a new ability (or abilities) to your character. Leave your regular, basic abilities at the door, and form unique builds around devastating meteor barrages, sentient homing bombs, skeletal army totems, or dozens of other wild options.

FULL MOD AND WORKSHOP SUPPORT

Easily create new items, characters, encounters, quests, and more with paintable tilesets, a visual scripting editor, and other included development tools. You can also easily download other players' creations through Steam Workshop.
